Child Safety Standards

Sync (operated by SilverGrid Tech) is committed to protecting children and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards describe how we prevent, detect, and respond to such content and conduct on Sync, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.

Our standards

• CSAE and CSAM are strictly prohibited on Sync in any form.
• Sync is intended for users aged 13 and older; it is not directed at children.
• Grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any sexualization of minors is prohibited and results in immediate removal and account termination.
• Sync exchanges are deliberately narrow — users send a time (a "magic minute"), or a short photo ("Moment"), to specific friends they pick. There is no public feed.
• Every photo is automatically screened by Google Cloud Vision (SafeSearch) before any recipient can view it. Photos flagged for adult, violent, or otherwise unsafe content are rejected and the image is deleted immediately — recipients never see unmoderated content.
• Recipients can view a photo only for 30 minutes after sending; after that the image is no longer accessible to them. Deleting an account removes all photos that account has sent.

Reporting child safety concerns

Anyone can report a user or content directly inside the app:

• In-app: open the received item, tap the menu (⋯), and choose Report or Block. Reporting also blocks the user immediately so you no longer hear from them.
• By email: contact info@silvergridtech.com and we will respond promptly.

How we respond

• Photos are screened automatically by Google Cloud Vision (SafeSearch) before any recipient can see them. Unsafe content is rejected at this stage and the image is deleted.
• We review reports of suspected CSAE/CSAM, remove violating content, and terminate the accounts responsible.
• Where we become aware of apparent CSAM, we preserve relevant information and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the appropriate authorities as required by law.
• We cooperate with law enforcement in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Compliance

We comply with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the markets where Sync is available, and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
