These Terms govern your use of Sync ("the app"), operated by Silvergrid Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). By using Sync you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Sync.
- Your account is tied to your verified phone number. One account per phone number. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your device secure.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: harass or spam other users; impersonate anyone; send unsolicited or abusive messages via the invite feature; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service; or use Sync for anything unlawful.
Your content
You're responsible for the display name, username, messages, and photos you create or upload. Don't choose names that are offensive, infringing, or misleading. We may reclaim usernames that violate these Terms or impersonate others.
Photos (Moments) — zero tolerance for objectionable content
Sync's Moments feature lets you send a photo captured during a magic minute to friends you pick. By using it you agree:
- What is prohibited: nudity or sexual content; sexual content involving minors in any form (zero tolerance — see our Child Safety Standards); graphic violence, gore, or threats; hate speech, harassment, or content that targets or demeans others; content that infringes anyone's rights; anything illegal under applicable law.
- Automated moderation. Every photo is automatically screened by Google Cloud Vision (SafeSearch) before any recipient can view it. Photos flagged as unsafe are rejected and the image is deleted immediately. Recipients never see unmoderated content.
- User-driven moderation. Any user can tap the ⋯ menu on a received item to Report or Block the sender. Reports are reviewed and acted on. Reporting also blocks the sender so they cannot reach you again.
- Enforcement. We may remove content, terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement at our discretion when these rules are violated. Repeated or severe violations result in permanent account termination.
- Rate cap. To curb abuse, sending more than 60 Moments per account per day is not supported.
- Ownership and license. You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process (including automated content moderation), and deliver the photo to the recipients you select, for the duration of the relevant retention window described in our Privacy Policy.
The game
Scores, points, and leaderboards are for fun and have no monetary value. We may adjust game mechanics, scoring, and features at any time.
Service availability
Sync is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and notifications may be delayed or not delivered. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
Termination
You can delete your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silvergrid Technologies LLC disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app (which, for a free app, is zero).
Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
